Corporate Social Responsibility

NGIS Australia is truly committed to using GIS to contribute to improving the quality of life of individuals and their communities around the world.

We discovered that GIS can play a critical role in rebuilding the lives of communities devastated by war or natural disasters through our experience with setting up the SIM-Centre in Aceh, Indonesia, after the devastation of the 2004 tsunami destroyed the lives of thousands of people.

This award-winning project demonstrated that, by monitoring emergency relief and reconstruction efforts, GIS can play a critical role in rebuilding the lives of people after disaster. But we understand that communities are not just about infrastructure, so as part of this project, the company launched its own not-for-profit charity, the Extending the Limits Trust. The Trust provides funding support to aid the development of economic security and social well-being for families in disaster-affected regions of South and South East Asia.

NGIS Australia is genuine about building meaningful relationships between the sectors we serve and the communities they interact with. Our company ethos is built on the foundation of trust and partnership and we value fair, respectful and ethical conduct because we understand those principles create long-lasting and positive outcomes for society at large.

NGIS supports a number of local not for profit causes such as; The Fathering Project, St. Vincent's De Paul, Cancer Council and The Movember Foundation.

NGIS Australia also makes donations to humanitarian and emergency relief initiatives, such of that of the Victorian bushfires and the Queensland Floods and supports selected not-for-profit fundraising campaigns throughout the year.
