NGIS undertook this project, in association with Agwest International, to assist the DAA spatially enable a database of agricultural information and statistics. GIS and image processing software, hardware and associated equipment were procured and installed in Dili.
Training was provided to DAA staff in developing the system. Key staff attended intensive training by NGIS in Australia. They were also required to evaluate and make recommendations about data management throughout the department.
