The Department of Mines required NGIS to supply GIS and image-processing software for a full-scale integration of geophysical, geological and drilling data with a GIS environment. They required methodologies for image processing to assist with geological mapping and advice on the use of software and systems for reporting. NGIS also provided training on how GIS and remote sensing applies to mineral exploration.
