NGIS' team of GIS advisors provided expert advice to various sections of the department about GIS and remote sensing implementation and database development. They developed and conducted MapInfo training programs and workshops and assisted with the production of a geoscience exploration data package. They were also required to evaluate and make recommendations about data management throughout the department.
