NGIS supplied the remote-sensing expertise to this ADB-funded aid project for a period of three months.
Work involved using Landsat TM and Radarsat imagery to classify, map and monitor the coastal zone for selected parts of Indonesia. The project included an extensive training component in the use of these datasets and ER Mapper image processing software.
NGIS provided a GIS specialist for four months, to develop a user-friendly front-end for the data and applications. This was achieved by using ArcView. An internet solution was also developed.
