Hennie Kuenen

Hennie has more than thirty years' experience in the road construction, surveying and mapping industry, and in the delivery, maintenance and supply of land-related information.  He has specialised in the outsourcing, contract management and audit of these services and in the development of processes and standards for their efficient delivery.

Prior to joining Kinhill in December 1998, he was the Chief Surveyor and head of discipline at Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA) for eighteen years.  In this capacity he managed and developed all aspects of MRWA’s survey, mapping and spatial data requirements on a State-wide basis for major road and bridge projects.  He was personally responsible for the introduction and maintenance of quality systems within the survey discipline and the development of outcome based contract specifications.

Hennie gained extensive experience in planning, route selection, and concept design for major and minor roads and has project and contract management experience in all preconstruction activities, including land development; required approvals and clearances; legal definition, registration and acquisition; and digital data definition, storage and maintenance requirements.

He is recognised as an authority on geographic information systems, on the availability of data and current directions in technology, and on government authority policy.
