Since 1999, NGIS has worked closely with Great Southern, having
developed a geographic information system (GIS), Jobs Management
Database, Inventory Database and GIS tools specifi c to plantation
management.

In early 2004, it was recognised these silo-operating systems could not keep up with Great Southern’s rapid growth. Spurred by a need to increase operational efficiency and meet environmental regulatory
requirements, NGIS partnered with Great Southern to develop a unique, industry leading solution that would revolutionise Great Southern’s
business processes: ForMS (Forestry Management System).
