iintegrate Systems' revolutionary product, Indji Watch, was announced as the winner in the Industry and Entrepreneurship category of the 2008 West Australian Spatial Excellence Awards (WASEA) Awards at a Gala Dinner last week.
The Awards recognise excellence, innovation and contribution to the spatial industry in Western Australia and is hosted by ASIBA and the Spatial Sciences Institute (SSI).
The Industry and Entrepreneurship category is about how spatial sciences affect operations and effectiveness and recognizes the techniques, methodologies, business practices and tools that have contributed to the economic performance of an industry, or to the individual company.
Indji Watch is the world’s first web-based hazard monitoring system that uses spatial information to deliver real-time analysis of risks and hazards against the physical location of fixed or mobile assets, and initiates intelligent actions and warnings when assets are under threat.
The application was developed using a sophisticated mapping analysis system that brings together multiple data streams into a single, web-enabled interface that is easily deployable and cost efficient to operate.
Since launching, Indji Watch has successfully helped the utility industry in reduce risk, while increasing efficiencies with the way hazards are monitored and managed.
Winners from each the state based awards being held this year in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia will be automatically entered into the annual Asia Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards (APSEA).
All awards are judged by a panel of professionals from a wide spectrum of applications in spatial information field.
The APSEA are the premier event for recognising excellence in the industry and profession. The 2008 Presentation Dinner will be held in Canberra, on Tuesday, 18 November 2008.
