“We are extremely pleased to win this tender,” rejoiced Paul Harris, Managing Director of NGIS. “Bunbury is a significant site and our selection further demonstrates that NGIS is the leading provider of GIS and asset management services to councils in WA.”
Commencing in December, NGIS will be implementing a GIS solution, using the ESRI products, including ArcView, MapObjects and CensusView 96.
The MapObjects development will include customised interfaces for council staff in a number of departments, such as planning, engineering, health, buildings, finance and on the front counter.
The implementation will include direct links to the City’s LOGIS property system and to their existing asset management systems (Greenfields and Hueffner PAMS). The development will also include the ability to display and query information held in the new ROMAN for Windows pavement management system.
NGIS will be responsible for the project management, software installation, customisation, data integration and training components of this GIS implementation.
The solution is expected to be operational on 20 desktop's throughout the council within 3 months and to eventually operate on about 100 seats.
