NGIS was first incorporated in August 1993 and the staff celebrated its 5 Year Anniversary in style at Panchos Mexican Restaurant.  NGIS was formed by Managing Director, Paul Harris, with the support of international mineral exploration consultants, Crowe Schaffalitzky Associates. 

It has grown from one man and a PC to a staff of over 14, a turnover in excess of $1.5 million, an office in Vietnam and projects in a number of Asian countries.

"This has been a wonderful year," explained Mr Harris, "with increases in our client base and profitability.  Much of our success must be attributed to our wonderful, dedicated staff.  I am blessed with the people who work for NGIS."

Over the 5 years, NGIS has become the major provider of GIS services to local government and a major service provider to the mining, petroleum and environmental sectors.  Distribution of quality software products, such as ER Mapper and ArcView, has also contributed to its success.  NGIS is also known for its supply of quality geological datasets and industry specific GIS training.

Despite the downturn in Asian economies, NGIS has increased its work in this region and is looking to further expansion in the next 12 months.  We truly have much to celebrate!
