From the office in Indo-China

Astra Zeneca, a large pharmaceutical company, needed to re-align their sales territories for Vietnam and have found GIS an extremely useful tool for this.

NGIS are now customising applications so tasks can be performed automatically.  BAT Cambodia have 1000’s of sales outlets in Phnom Penh and surrounds, and keeping track of them is a nightmare.  GIS has allowed high level staff to “call the shots” without doing too much leg work.  Both companies are now considering a rollout of the technology regionally.  Work is also being performed for a variety of health and environmental projects for the ADB, En and AusAid.

The recent visit from Bill Clinton to Vietnam (the first from a US President since the war, and one of his last landmark events) will hopefully boost investment into the country from the US.

If you have any GIS or market information requirements for Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, NGIS is the place to get it – contact Paul Farrell (paul.farrell@ngis.com.au).
