Paul Gibson, NGIS consultant and training manager, has been delivering our new “Desktop mapping for Geoscientists using ArcView 8” training course. Paul and Adam Hender finished writing the course a few months ago and it has since proved to be extremely successful. Paul has presented it to over 50 people from BHP Billiton, WMC, and other companies, and has 35 more bookings for this year. Paul is going to be very busy in the lead up to Christmas!
Paul Gibson and James Wright (Manager of the GIS Training Centre) are currently designing further additional one-day courses for ‘Geodatabase/ Advanced Editing and Manipulation’ and ‘Spatial Analyst’.
Vacancies exist for the “Desktop mapping for Geoscientists using ArcView 8” training course 16th-18th Dec. But be quick, places are filling up fast!
An ‘Introduction to ArcView GIS’ will begin running on 2nd -4th December, with more available next year. It has been designed for new users who will be using either ArcView or ArcInfo, or existing users of ArcView 3 who wish to upgrade their skills.
