Mapping every public toilet in Australia, teaching mapping skills to the long-term unemployed and setting up an office in Vietnam have been just a few of the interesting highlights for NGIS Australia, the Perth-based company who in just 10 years has become Australia’s largest and leading independent provider of spatial information solutions.
To add to this impressive list, NGIS celebrated its 10th anniversary at the Perth Zoo. Food, drink and entertainment were provided at the Reptile Encounter facility. Loka, a Perth band, and Rudi the Magician entertained over a hundred guests, not to mention the numerous reptiles that call the zoo home.
Since being established in 1993, NGIS has been involved in a wide variety of GIS and remote sensing projects and has provided effective solutions across a broad range of industry sectors including Local, State and Federal Government, Mining and Exploration, Petroleum, Agriculture, Business Engineering and the Environment.
Celebrating the company’s anniversary and achievements at the Perth Zoo was no surprise to the staff, clients and business partners of NGIS. “We are a company that takes risks, likes adventure and believes that work should be interesting and fun while meeting our clients’ needs,” said NGIS Managing Director Paul Harris.
