NGIS wins Secrets of Australian IT Innovation 2003

The competition is an initiative of the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) and the Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts (DCITA).

Austrade, DCITA, State and Territory Governments and industry associations manage the competition which aims to identify innovators and entrepreneurs across the nation and give them the recognition they deserve.

GeoSamba was selected as a winner in Business/Industrial (Software) Solutions based on its being clearly innovative and ground-breaking, representing a significant step forward in the technology itself and being wholly owned and developed in Australia. GeoSamba was recognised for having a strong potential for commercialisation and NGIS is currently seeking overseas distributors.

The GeoSamba suite of products will have specific applications for industry sectors such as Local Government, Emergency Services, Mineral Exploration, Petroleum and anyone needing to consider the spatial perspective when making business decisions.

“Our vision is to make GeoSamba the Australian product on the world stage that is delivering spatial web solutions”, said Mr Paul Harris, Founder and Managing Director of NGIS Australia.
