Project Details
Under the contract with the Department of Land Information NGIS is providing GIS skills for the development, management and maintenance of legacy and new applications. Areas NGIS is working in include GIS and IT systems design and integration; GIS and IT and business analysis; and GIS and IT applications software development and support.
NGIS has undertaken the following projects for the Department of Land Information:
ELSR2 – The Electronic Lodgement of Survey Release 2 Project is implementing changes to the way new titles are issued and by automating the integration of new approved surveys. To accomplish this, modifications are required to the SmartPlan and SmartRegister applications together with the implementation of a messaging interface between the two applications are required.
Topographic Restructure Project - The goal of the project is to build a single, seamless, homogeneous vector topographic GIS database by integrating the best available datasets, or portions thereof, held by the different government agencies. This will streamline the data maintenance processes to provide timely information and business efficiencies.
Spatial Maintenance – NGIS is undertaking the maintenance of the spatial systems used by the business. This involves working on Service Requests that have been initiated by the many system stakeholders.
Internal Services Architecture – NGIS developed the architecture to allow for the growth of DLI’s spatially focused systems. The main thrust being the development of a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) enabling the extension of core legacy system service life.
